Old Isleworthians

Match Report

It was our first home game of the new season Saturday, After a good win away to Haringey rhinos last week the boys were looking for the same result, things got off to a good start after a couple of good carries from the forwards especially the ever reliable George Flatman we were in for our first try thanks to George Russell who finished excellently. Off the kick off cokes caught the ball and did his best impression of river dance before knocking on, not to worrie though the forwards held the scrum out and no damage was done, After some great line out work from the forwards especially in the maul got us into the oppositions half and after some slick play by the backs  we were under the sticks again, after some great carriers by the forward pack we were once again into the opposition half and quick hands from alex to the speedy hooker who produced a sonny bill offload back to Alex to put him in the corner for another try for T’S, after a lovely turn of pace and a little show and go seb turner got in for another try for T’S

With a strong first half performance we regrouped at half time. After a couple of changes at half time we began the second half very much like the first, After a massive hit from dean Oliver on his opposite number got the boys fired up George flatman then followed up with an even bigger hit , Callum gooden was a rock in defence and help himself to a brace of try’s he used all the speed he had to skip away from the defence and went under the posts how he got away from them I don’t know, after some good interplay by the backs the ball found its way to SKIP Dean Oliver who drew his man and gave it to The Speedster Tommy D’Arcy who gassed one man and stepped inside the other and then passed to Tom Higgins Unfortunately play broke down after this great move, and with not long left dean Oliver went in for a try,

A hard fought win for T’s  against an old rival

Try scorers – Alex, Seb, George, Dean, Danny, Callumm (2), Tom,  Lucas
