The club is sad to announce the death of Brent Boyce. Brent played his rugby at Saracens and Roslyn Park, but did make one appearance for Thamesians on a tour to Paris in the early 2000’s. He is best remembered as a loyal social member and raconteur at the Thamesians club bar. Above all he will be remembered as a much loved member of the Thamesians trio (alongside John Sheehan and Buzz Burrows) who did so much to forge our relationship with our friends from Paris thirty years ago.
We have received many messages including this one from Jean Noel (the President of the French team for much of this period)
‘Very sad news. Brent was an emblematic character of the Thamesians club and one of the main architects of bringing our two clubs together for over 30 years. He leaves a great void and we will miss him terribly. Jean-Noel’
The club will be raising a toast to Brent at a special club afternoon on 25th November from 4pm
