Freezing and foggy conditions.

Uxbridge 29 v 31 Thamesians

Fingers were crossed hoping the game would go on with the likelihood of frozen pitches being a real issue. Luckily we got the green light on Saturday morning and the game was on. Uxbridge who have had a tough start to the season turned up with fire in their belly. They started the game strong going a try up early on. It was time to turn on,

Thamesians fired back through the forwards picking and going at the Uxbridge defence with flanker Tommy finding a gap. The forwards have been loving life this season and have been given the freedom to attack defences. With a lineout on the oppo 15 a strong rolling maul allowed Skipper Rajan to find a gap to break through and score.

Uxbridge went try for try against us the whole game in a spirited effort. Will Childs playing 9 found a gap from a 5 meter scrum sneaking his way over and Hugo being a wrecking ball in the centres powered through for his try.

A bonus point win away from home was achieved with the game finally ending 29-31 to T’s.

Roll on next weekend where we go up against Kilburn Cosmos in a doubleheader for the club with the women kicking off at the same time
