Newly appointed captain Ben Lagha led from the front to achieve a 50-point victory over a resilient travelling West London team. Despite more subs and 20-minute quarters, all players were a sweaty mess coming off the field. The heat got to Adam W more than others, his try-time celebration in the face of the opposition was enough for a yellow card and now finds himself in major trouble with the Master of Fines. The more gentlemanly Hugo humbly scored something like 4 tries (we struggle to count after 3) and we welcome his presence at centre for the coming season.

Club man and former captain Arlind picked up a brace of tries off the back of mauls so all the credit should be awarded to the forwards who are looking strong and scary this year. Notable performances from our Northern Flanker partnership, Pete and new boy Tommy, and new to the game Stefan who is showing strong potential. New Head Coach Stu moved the pieces around masterfully with Kiwi Ben hitting hard at hooker, we saw Max out as centre (usually hooker) thriving with some quick running ball.
