New Head Coach Appointed

Stu Aimer

The Thamesians family would like to introduce Stu Aimer as our head coach for the upcoming season, Stu has worked along side the team now for a couple years putting the men and women through their paces with Strength and conditioning. When the position for head coach opened up it was a unanimous decision to approach Stu for the role and as a club couldn’t be happier he took it.

Stu has spent 12+ years in the background preparing players to perform for various clubs such as London Scottish & Richmond to name a few. Stus skill set has allowed him to work with international teams such as Ghana, preparing them for the African 7s as well as preparing Jamaica 7s to take on the Commonwealth Games. We could write a story about Stu but have asked him to say a few words;

“Having worked with world class coaches has given me the confidence to take on this opportunity to develop a squad as I explore 15’s rugby with Thamseians. We want to play a brand of rugby that the guys are brought into and aren’t afraid to be creative in attack and are given the licence to earn it during the match through our defence”
